Pesto, Cheese and Ham Toasties


1.Spread one side of each slice of bread with Sacla’ Classic Basil Pesto
2.Layer the cheese and then the ham on 2 of the slices then top with remaining bread, Pesto-side down
3.Spread the outside of the bread with a little butter
4.Heat a large frying pan over a medium heat and cook the toasties for 4-5 minutes on one side, until bread underneath is toasted (press down gently with a spatula so they cook evenly)
5.Flip the toasties over and cook on the other side for a few more minutes until bread is toasted and cheese has melted
6.Cut in half diagonally and serve straight away


  • 4 thick slices Bread
  • 1 pot or 2 tbsp Sacla’ Classic Basil Pesto
  • 50g Cheddar, sliced
  • 2 slices Parma or normal ham
  • Butter for spreading
