Snip the slices of parma ham in two and spread each half with pesto, then place the asparagus spears on top. Tightly roll up and arrange spaced a little apart on a large baking tray. Lightly brush all over with the olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake the asparagus on the middle shelf of the oven for 8-10 minutes until the asparagus is cooked but still with some bite,’ and the Parma ham has crisped up. Simply delicious.
