Parma Ham & Pesto-wrapped Asparagus


Snip the slices of parma ham in two and spread each half with pesto, then place the asparagus spears on top. Tightly roll up and arrange spaced a little apart on a large baking tray. Lightly brush all over with the olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake the asparagus on the middle shelf of the oven for 8-10 minutes until the asparagus is cooked but still with some ‘bite,’ and the Parma ham has crisped up. Simply delicious.


  • 12 slices Parma ham, halved widthways
  • 190g jar Saclà Basil Pesto
  • 24 thick asparagus spears, tough ends snapped off
  • olive oil, for brushing
  • 3 level tblsp finely grated Parmesan
