Using fragrant basil and sweet Italian whole cherry tomatoes, you can put a warm and inviting Italian lunch or supper on the table in minutes. To enjoy pasta as the Italian do, for 4 serves cook 400-450g of pasta in salted boiling water. Drain and add the jar of sauce to the empty pan. Return to heat, add the pasta and stir about a minute. Serve with freshly grated Parmesan.
Try adding pan-fried chicken strips or peeled prawns with dollop of crème fraiche or add a selection of cooked vegetables like peas, zucchini and leeks to make a typical Primavera sauce.
